Around twenty years ago, Aurélie’s grandmother and maternal aunt offered her a small bare root of a Burlat cherry tree. Planted with love beside the family home, it has continued to grow year after year. Spreading its branches, it offers a magnificent spectacle in every season and shelters a joyful array of wildlife. Bursting into bloom in spring and covered with thousands of cherries in summer, this fruit tree delights both the birds and the sweet tooth of Aurélie and her family.

A few years later, Aurélie built her studio at the foot of this cherry tree — now a silent witness to her life story, and a symbol of patience and affection for the vegetal and animal kingdoms. Made of wood and bathed in light through two large windows, the studio blends harmoniously with the garden. It has become the ceramist’s den, a place that evolves with the rhythm of the seasons. The ceramic pieces imagined by Aurélie resonate with the presence of this majestic fruit tree, a kind of guardian of the meeting between earth, nature, craftsmanship, and femininity.
